Top 10 reasons why you should get a breast thermogram!

I have dense breasts
Most women under the age of 50 typically have denser breast tissue. A routine
mammogram can show if the breast tissue is fatty or dense. A recent law passed in
Tennessee requires your doctor to inform you, in writing, if dense breast tissue is noted
on your mammogram. Fatty tissue appears black on a mammogram so it is easy to see a
tumor, which will show up white on the image. The problem is that the dense tissue also
shows up white on a mammogram so the tumor is basically impossible to see.
Thermography can easily evaluate dense breasts by showing temperature variations.

I have breast implants
Thermography is a great assessment tool for women with implants. It evaluates all areas
of the breast including the upper chest and underarms. Since thermography is
compression free, there is no chance of implant rupture and the screening evaluates for
implant integrity.

My mammogram was normal but I'm still concerned
Just because a mammogram did not pick up a tumor does not mean the cancer isn't
there. It can take as many as 8-10 years of growth before a tumor is large enough to be
seen on a mammogram. A mammogram is a test of anatomy while a thermogram is a
test of physiology. A physiological test can assess function at a cellular, muscular,
vascular, and lymphatic level. Thermography is a preventative tool that assesses overall
breast health.

Is it true that you can get cancer from the radiation in a mammogram?
There is evidence suggesting that the risk of developing breast cancer from exposure to
mammography radiation is greatly underestimated (Heyes, 2009).This seems to be a
controversial subject. Personal risk factors should be taken into consideration when
deciding what the best breast screening is for you. Thermal imaging is radiation free. This
also makes it safe for pregnant or lactating women.

I've had breast cancer, what can thermography do for me?
Instead of just screening for breast cancer, a thermogram can tell you how healthy your
breasts are. Wouldn't you like to know if there were changes happening in the breast
tissue while you still had a chance to reverse it?

I don't have a family history of breast cancer, am I still at risk?
Only 5-10% of breast cancer occurs in women with a family history of the disease. One in eight
women and 1% of men will develop breast cancer. For women of all ages, thermography plays
an important role in prevention. Women over the age of twenty can greatly benefit from
thermographic breast screening.

Is thermography a good screening for Inflammatory Breast Cancer?
Being a rare and aggressive form of breast cancer, IBC usually begins with swelling and
reddening of the breast instead of a distinct lump. It is, therefore, very difficult to detect on
a mammogram. Thermography is able to detect areas of inflammation in the body and is
an ideal screening of choice for IBC.

Can I have a thermogram after a breast biopsy?
Because of changes in the tissue at the area of a biopsy (needle or surgical), you should
wait 3 months before an accurate evaluation of breast health with thermography. This
also applies to post surgery, chemotherapy, or radiation therapy. This amount of time
gives the involved and surrounding tissue time to heal and return to normal.

Early detection doesn't just save lives... It saves breasts!
Should the fear of developing cancer lead a person to cut off parts of his or her body in
order to prevent it? Fear can't save lives ... but knowledge can! Thermography provides
you with early detection and is considered a preventative health assessment of the
breasts. Don't wait! By the time you find a lump, it is no longer considered early detection.

I don't get mammograms because they are too painful!
Many women put off mammograms due to the pain involved. But doing nothing is not a
good option! Thermography is pain free and provides an assessment of your breast
health. Staying informed is the best step toward prevention! Don't put it off!
Monitor your breast health with Thermal Imaging!
